They are rich in probiotic bacteria, thus they help increase the health of the gut microbiome. This leads to easier digestion of foods, as well as an increase in the retainment of beneficial vitamins.
Fermented foods are becoming more and more abundant in food stores and restaurants, as people are more conscious of their food choices and the benefits of fermentation.
At IZA, we aim to include fermented foods in our homemade ingredients, whether it be a meze made with fermented ingredients or a homemade kombucha that you can enjoy with your meal.
